Birthday Weeks Are Awesome!

This year Jessie got to celebrate her birthday for a whole week. It started off with a party at Grandma Jo's. Then it was princess for the day. Then it was her actual birthday with breakfast in bed and another cake! She is so lucky. Lots of celebrating this year and that always means lots of presents! Happy Birthday Jess!

Fiesta Fun!

Just last week Jessica went on a date with Ty. This time she invited him. (Usually he calls her to go to dinner.) She took him to one of her all time favorite things in the world, a fiesta! They ate tacos, wore their best fiesta hats and Jessie even taught Ty a few dance steps. They had a ball. Jessie can't wait to do it again!

Salt Lake City, A Great Place To Visit

Jessie had a good time on her February vacation. She is so fun to hang out with. When we went to The Roof for dinner, we told the kids to try anything they wanted, if they didn't like it they could just try something else. Jessie is a daredevil, she was brave and tried a few new things. She tried some type of appetizer that we still don't know what it was, but she liked it! She did stick with her all time favorite, the French Onion Soup. She had three bowls of it! She also really like the temple view from the windows. She said she couldn't stop looking at it! She also liked the fact that when we got back to the hotel room, we changed and went swimming for the second time of the day. Lucky for us the hotel pool was open unitil 11:30 pm. Now she's asking when we are going back!

Christmas 2006

Jessie had a great Christmas. She was asking for a guitar and the American Girl Doll, Josephina. She got them both. She's such a good girl! Jessie also loves art and she got her first oil painting set. We are so excited to see what she will paint! Merry Christmas Jessie!

Christmas Program 2006

It's always so fun during the holiday's to go to each different school to see what the kids have been working on. This year for Jessie it was Christmas around the world. They did a fabulous singing performance of many different tradional carols from all over the world. They even sang a song in Yiddish. (I didn't even know that Yiddish was a language!) It was great! Unfortunately this is the only picture we got because the camera battery was dead when we got to the school. But as you can see, Jessie looked beautiful!

Smartie Art

Jessica had a great time on our recent St. George getaway. We went to watch conference and have a relaxing family weekend. Jessie was playing conference bingo and covering the bingo boxes with smarties. Well, can we say we think she got board with the bingo game? Fabulous art work Jessie!

Lake Powell Beauty

Look at our bathing beauty Jessica! She has always loved being in the water because that means you can wear a swimming suit. She had a great time in Lake Powell. Her favorite part was hanging out at camp and riding in the tube. She was also a great helper with Jaxon. One afternoon while relaxing on the boat, a dragon fly landed on Jessie's toe. She thought that was awesome, she had never touched a dragon fly before! I couldn't believe it stayed there long enough for us to take a picture.

3rd Grade Rules!

This year in school Jessie is in 3rd grade. We can hardly believe how fast she is growing up! She loves her teacher and has lots of friends in her class. Her favorite subject in school is reading. Right now she is reading all the Ramona books. We love it because Jessie kind of reminds us of Ramona! She is always helping, wants to play with her big brother and she can save the day!

San Diego Style

Jessie had a great time in San Diego. She enjoyed the beach. Ty was loving his beautiful daughter and that sunlight mix. He snapped lots of pictures! She was like a model for a day! Jessica also liked the Wild Animal Park. She loved being able to interact with the animals. Her buddy was Kate, they were very good at never leaving each others side. She loved Sea World and Disneyland. She especially loved the beach. I'm not sure if she liked the water or the sand better. She thinks they are all her favorite!

Tubing Is My Thing!

Tubing is definately Jessica's new favorite thing to do. She gets onto the tube and 15 minutes later we are asking her how it's going. She says just great... go faster! We love that Jessie is trying all these new things! Keep it up girlfriend!

Blondes Do Have More Fun!

Last week Jessie decided she was old enough to have some blonde put in her hair. She has begged me for 1 year now to make her blonde. So I finally gave in and put a few blonde streaks in her hair. The blonde looks great. Jessie cannot stop looking at herself in the mirrors. Not to mention the smile that is permantly on her face! Jessica you are oh so cute!

American Girl Fever!

Jessie was invited to an American Girl Doll birthday party. She was so excited. In her world it's the next best thing than going to the American Girl Doll Store in Chicago! The party was a blast. It was totally tropical with drinks and food for the girls and their dolls. Jessica and her dolls Jess and Samatha had a great time!

Girls Rule!

Jessica found something in common with her favorite bullet bike racer, Jessica Zalusky. It's not just the fact they are both named Jessica, or that Jessie thought the color of her bike was cool, it's much more than that. Jessie waited in line to get her autograph. It was just so great that they both had the same name and much to Jessie's surprise, Jessica Zalusky wrote "Girls Rule" on her poster. Jessie could not believe how much they were alike! It is just too cool! Jessie 100% agrees with the statement! So the "special" poster will be going into a "special" frame to hang in her room in the "special" spot!

Jessie The Ballet Dancer

This is a picture of Jessie's ballet class. She had an amazing dance year. She has turned into quite the ballet dancer. She had a great time with her good friends Madelyn and Kenzie. She is sad dance is over for the summer but looks forward to the fall when it ill start up again.

Red Boots Rock!

Jessica had her second grade Hoe Down tonight. She did an amazing job. She looked so cute in her cowgirl outfit. Her favorite part of the ensemble was her red boots. She said they helped her dance. She knew every step and sang her best. Great job Jessie!

What a Stage!

Jessica is quite a performer these days. She loves to dance and sing. Grandpa Ric's big truck made for a perfect stage. She put on an incredible show for about 35 minutes. The only thing she thought would make it better was to have one of her friends dancing and singing with her!

Oh No, It's Spring!

Jessie's favorite time of year is definitely winter. So when the snow had melted away in time for Easter, she was a little nervous. No snow means the bees are out. She loves being outside, but hates those bees! Lucky for us it was just a little cool for Easter weekend. We were able to go outside and Jessie had a great time hunting for Easter eggs!

Eight Is Great!

This year for Jessica's birthday she was baptized. So of course we had to make her feel like she was a princess. She wanted to have the most beautiful dress in the world. So after searching high and low...we found the perfect one! With a little help from our friend Jen, she had a cloak to match and keep her warm. Jessica had a great day and couldn't believe all the neat presents that she got. She is very special and we are so proud of her.

Yahoo...I Did It!

As you can see, Jessie got to do an oral report on a Famous American. She chose Mia Hamm. The last few weeks we spent lots and lots of time learning about Mia and putting together a 10 minute report. Jessica made a poster and some gold medals and did a fabulous job telling her class about Mia. She was able to answer every question that they asked her. She would make a great reporter, she's a natural!

Our Sweet Little Jessie

It is so exciting when you loose both of your front teeth in 10 days. Just imagine, making 5 dollars for letting you dad pull your teeth out! She loves to smile and show of her lovely space! Jessica loves to help entertain Jaxon. She also likes to play outside and it's even better when there is about 5 feet of snow in your front yard. Sometimes we think she would like to live in one of her many snow forts!
